This is an excellent condition Springfield 1861 Musket in 58 caliber. The metal is still bright with some light peppering of rust here and there. The wood is like new and is walnut with some very nice figure. The ramrod is steel. The leaves on the rear sight still fold. Bore shows very little of firing. This gun was made by the Italian firm of Armi Sport. A very high quality 1861 Springfield.
